My work focuses on the interior world—emotions, memory, and the experience of being female in both Eastern and Western cultures.

With a family history marked by migration and the trauma of uprooting, I carry ancestral wounds that linger in both my psyche and body. The struggles my grandparents faced resonate deeply as I contemplates the current state of the world, where ecological and social crises intersect. I try to tell my story through the images of human bodies, female bodies and I draw a great deal of inspiration from Hindu mythology and symbols.

My figures, created with watercolor and ink, represent the fluidity and complexity of my thought. My practice is deeply influenced by my personal and familial experience with migration, motherhood/womanhood and my art often meditates on misogyny, identity, and the destructive beauty of the universe.
